It sends this single message at once from an SMS server on the LAN connected to the internet. This service receives and sends SMS on a computer that is connected to the internet and a GSM gateway. It offers short codes to clients. There are two types of codes; the dedicated short code and shared short code. Dedicated short code is provided to clients of whom they do not have to share with other clients. There is also a Shared Short Code. This code is provided to clients who will share the same code with other clients. The clients are issued with keywords for identification. Onfon Media has also ventured into voice based contents provision. Onfon Media has rolled out this technology in five different countries. This service allows clients to interact with pre-recorded voice message. Instead of using the normal USSD route which is manual, clients enjoy voice command system that process the voice information as given by the users. This is a new technology which is being offered with a partner; Crealog. And as the proverb goes, when you see dark heavy clouds, it is a sign that it’s about to rain.
